The county Archives include county, school and mining district records from 1859 to the present. Located in the basement of the courthouse, these materials are available to residents, researchers and anyone else interested in a wide variety of topics related to the county. The archivist's job includes protection of the old documents, research, continuing organization of departmental records and destruction of obsolete materials.
