I’ve been bitten and sickened by an insect or animal bite. Who do I call to report it?
Contact the Division of Wildlife (303-297-7123) or the Clear Creek County Animal Control Unit (303-679-2398) to capture the animal so that it may be tested for rabies. Only detain the animal if you can do so without further injury to yourself. Immediately wash the wound with warm soapy water and seek medical attention. Contact Clear Creek County Public & Environmental Health for further instructions at 303-679-2335.
