Clear Creek County Environmental Health
Our goal is to reduce the public's exposure to environmental hazards that can have a significant effect on the health of the population. We are responsible for providing inspections and information to ensure and protect public health. Semi-annual and annual health inspections include food service, child care, grocery stores, schools and camps. This department also protects the quality of water through enforcement of the Individual Sewage Disposal System Regulations, and the management of surface waters in two watershed basins. Other duties include indoor air quality, vector and zoonotic control, wetland protection, and emergency preparedness. We work closely with the Land Use Division (building, planning, zoning, and site development) to protect our environment and promote safety.
