Clear Creek Cares About Business Grant Round 2 NOW ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS

We are excited to announce that Clear Creek County has received additional funding to provide financial support to restaurants that have been significantly impacted by COVID-19. This round of funding is only available to restaurants that either were not awarded funds in Round 1 or did not apply. Grants will be awarded up to $15,000 on a first come first serve basis until money is exhausted or December 16th (whichever comes first). Funds are to be used for reimbursement of essential expenses. Requirements for Eligibility:


  • Must be open at the time of application;
  • Must be in good standing as of March 1, 2020;
  • Must have at least one W2 employee;
  • Proper documentation must be submitted at the time of application to be considered.

Clear Creek Cares About Business Grant Round 1 (CLOSED TO APPLICATIONS)

Clear Creek County in collaboration with the Town of Empire, the Town of Georgetown, the City of Idaho Springs, and the Town of Silver Plume are pleased to announce that 49 businesses have been awarded grants through the Clear Creek Cares about Business Grant Program. There were a total of 73 businesses that applied, totaling $1,238,020 in requests and $855,000 awarded. This grant provided financial support to small businesses that were severely impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Grants were awarded in the amounts of $5,000 - $20,000 to pay for essential business-related expenses like payroll, rent, mortgages, utilities, and supplies.

It is critical that we all work together to reduce the spread of COVID-19 in our community, to continue to remain open. This means wearing masks, washing hands, and avoiding social gatherings of any size. 

All areas of Clear Creek County, including all municipalities, are currently following the statewide “COVID-19 DIAL FRAMEWORK” Executive Order which is further guided by Public Health Order 20-36, establishing specific levels and restrictions for each county in Colorado with respect to their COVID-19 data.

Clear Creek County will be operating under Level Red: SEVERE RISK restrictions starting Friday, November 20th, at 5:00 pm MST. For more information, please visit the COVID-19 Colorado website HERE

The CCEDC is offering low-interest, emergency working capital loans for existing businesses affected by COVID-19. COEDITThe Colorado Office of Economic Development & International Trade manages a COVID-19 Business Resource Center Clearinghouse for small businesses, nonprofits, freelancers, and independent contractors. Resources include: forgivable payroll loans, disaster loan advances, express bridge loans, and eviction and layoff assistance.
