Oct. 31, 2018 – Clear Creek County Communications, Colo.  – Clear Creek Emergency Medical Services welcomed its newest addition to the family yesterday, Car 51.  The new ambulance was recently put into service for residents and visitors to the County.

“This is a really big deal to not just EMS, but the thousands of lives we touch each year around or County,” said Nicolena Johnson, Chief Paramedic.  “We know that when that call comes, we’ve got to be ready with the right team and equipment.”

Clear Creek EMS was awarded $84,312.50 to assist in funding by an EMS Provider Grant from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment.  As with all Clear Creek EMS vehicles, this ambulance comes ready with 4WD and the back of the ambulance, ‘the box’, is designed with EMS patient and provider safety in mind.

“We are truly proud to serve Clear Creek County 24/7, every day,” said Chief Johnson.  “Knowing we have the latest in technology and reliable equipment will save lives when time and capability mean so much to our community.”
