County Hosts National EMS Memorial Bike Ride

July 26, 2019 – Clear Creek County Communications, Colo. Clear Creek County Emergency Medical Services and the Veterans’ Coalition welcomed dozens of riders yesterday from around the Nation for their annual National EMS Memorial Bike Ride—Colorado Route.  For the last several years, these EMS professionals and bike riders have come to Colorado to honor EMS professionals who serve every day, have become sick or injured performing their duties, or who have died in the line of duty.

“We are truly honored to host this great team again, and for all the help they give to their communities 24/7,” said Troy Erickson, County Veterans’ Services Officer and Veterans’ Coalition.  During the week-long event, the riders went from Snowmass, to Glenwood Springs, to Vail, to Frisco, Idaho Springs and finally Littleton where the Air Medical Memorial and National EMS Memorial Service was held.

After arriving in Idaho Springs, they were hosted at a private event at the Westbound & Down Brewing Company where riders talked about their experiences, including friends they have lost throughout their careers.

Several other routes take place throughout the country, and you can learn more at:  .
