County Nurse Earns 2019 CO Public Health Association Award


Sept. 5, 2019 – Clear Creek County Communications, Colo. Clear Creek County Public Health Nurse, Crystal Brandt, was awarded the “Exemplary Frontier Public Health Nurse Award”, Aug. 29, at the 2019 Public Health in the Rockies Conference in Keystone, Co.  The awards are presented annually by the Colorado Public Health Association (CPHA) and Colorado School of Public Health in several different categories.  Per Ms. Brandt’s award, it goes to “…a Public Health Nurse who has demonstrated exemplary service in a local public health agency located in a Colorado rural/frontier community…”    

“We are so proud of Crystal.  Her years of dedicated service to the citizens of Clear Creek County and to our visitors, has earned her the recognition this award brings,” said Cindy Dicken, County Health and Human Services Division Chief.           

Nominated by one of her peers, her application said, “…Crystal is truly one in a million; a public health nurse who is respected and well-loved here in Colorado.  She is committed and very protective of the people in her community…” 

“I’m truly honored to receive this award, and proud of the community I get to serve every day,” said Crystal Brandt.
