The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office (CCSO) is hosting its annual C3 Fest on Saturday, August 17, from 11:00 am – 3:00 pm at the Idaho Springs ballfields, 101 E. Idaho Springs Road. The C3 Fest brings public safety agencies and the community together in a safe and fun environment. Residents, families, and kids can visit with local first responders and explore emergency equipment during the event.

For the first time, this year’s C3 Fest is serving as a fundraiser, to benefit Clear Creek students. All money raised from monetary donations, a silent auction, and food sales will be used to support the Clear Creek School District’s ongoing efforts to ensure all middle and high school students can participate in sports programs and advanced placement classes.

Clear Creek Sheriff Matthew D. Harris explains how “this year’s C3 Fest has a dual purpose: to strengthen relations between local public safety agencies and the communities we serve, and to support academic and athletic opportunities for Clear Creek students. The response on both fronts has been impressive. Over 20 agencies are participating on Saturday, and generous donations from local businesses and community members have already helped us reach 75% of our $6,000 fundraising goal.”

Clear Creek community members and visitors are encouraged to join the Sheriff’s Office and all local partner public safety agencies at this year’s C3 Fest.
