Bonds
Pursuant to C.R.S. §16-4-102, the Sheriff's Office is required by law to release someone from custody within 6 hours of them posting bond. If you believe the Sheriff's Office has violated this statute you may file a complaint by email here, or call the Sheriff's Office.
Posting a Bond at the Clear Creek County Jail:
Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office uses a CJIS-compliant secure email system (Delivery Slip) to process bonds electronically. This applies to licensed bail bonding agents as well as family and friends.
Bail Bonding Agents
- Email detentions@clearcreeksheriff.us requesting access to our secure email system.
- You will receive an invitation to create a Delivery Slip account, which allows you to send and receive encrypted emails with the jail.
- Send a scanned copy of the front and back of your state-issued ID and your Power of Attorney (POA) through Delivery Slip.
- Once received, Detentions Staff will prepare the bond and obtain the inmate’s signature.
- The completed bond will be sent to you securely through Delivery Slip.
- You must sign (either scanned or electronic signature) and return the bond securely through Delivery Slip.
- The inmate will then be processed for release.
Friends and Family
- Deposit the bond amount into the inmate’s Bail Bond Trust account using AllPaid.
- Email detentions@clearcreeksheriff.us to notify staff that you have posted the bond and want your name listed on the bond.
- You will receive an invitation to create a Delivery Slip account.
- Send a scanned copy of the front and back of your state-issued ID through Delivery Slip.
- After the inmate signs the bond, you will receive a copy via Delivery Slip.
- Sign, scan, and return the bond securely through Delivery Slip.
- The inmate will then be processed for release.
Important: All inmates released on bond will receive a Bond Complaint Form, which may be used if the jail does not meet the 6-hour release requirement.
- The six-hour release period begins once the jail receives the required bond funds (via AllPaid) or a valid Power of Attorney (for bonding agents).
- Any delays caused by the bonding agent or friends/family — including time taken to provide identification, Power of Attorney, or return signed bond documents — are not the responsibility of the jail. In these cases, a Bond Complaint Form will not be valid.
- The jail is only responsible for processing the release within six hours once all required documents and funds have been received.
We accept bonds 24 hours a day, 7 days a week including holidays. We only accept cash, credit card and or surety bonds. We do not allow property bonds. A surety bond is done through a bondsman and you should contact them first, prior to coming to the jail.
In Person
Cash and credit card bonds can be accepted in person at the facility. We will accept cash, certified checks, cashier’s checks and money orders. No personal checks will be accepted.
Online / Phone
Credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover) bonds can be deposited into an inmate's account via the Phone, by calling 1-(877) 392-2455, or via the Internet, by going to www.govpaynow.com. Pay Location Code (PLC) # = A003OL. After successful completion of your online transaction, funds are made available to the inmate.
