Undersheriff Matt Brown

Matt Brown has served as the undersheriff for the Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office since early 2024. He has been with the Sheriff’s Office more than 25 years, beginning his law enforcement career as a Detentions Deputy. Since then, he has risen through the ranks to serve as Captain of the Special Operations Division before being appointed Undersheriff.

Undersheriff Brown has expertise in SWAT operations, criminal investigations, and detentions. He places an emphasis on de-escalation, employee wellness, and mentoring future deputies and organizational leaders. Undersheriff Brown has a passion for serving the Clear Creek County community in which he was born and raised.
